My home is within a wildlife habitat, so nature is up close and personal in many ways. Among the animals we see daily are waterfowl of all types. Chief among them is the Blue Heron. This piece was inspired by a photograph taken of a particularly handsome specimen as he surveyed his domain: the lagoon across the street.
